Beef stew and Dumplings

Perfect winter comfort food

This is a simple yet tasty recipe.

The important thing in this recipe is the gravy. Most gravy is not suitable for all our household list of allergies. I have found that Bisto Gluten Free Gravy Granules Multipack 175G (2 Pack) – Suitable for Vegetarians and coeliacs is the best to use and doesn’t cause us any problems. However, I suggest using whatever brand you know is suitable for you.

For the dumplings I use beef suet Atora Shredded Beef Suet 240g – Pack of 2

However you can use a vegan version Atora Shredded Vegetable Suet 200g – Pack of 2 (the vegetable oil is just too much a risk with corn and legume allergies)

My children have multiple allergies from babies. There was a long list of things they couldn't eat with out being really poorly. I started by adapting known recipes, which lead to me experimenting and designing my own new ones! Now I share what I learned along the way in hopes of helping other families like us.
