Learning this basic porridge recipe will set you up or a variety of breakfast meals. This is such a simple recipe but once you know it you can add all sorts of different toppings or flours to jazz things up. The possibilities are endless.

In the featured image I’ve topped the porridge with sliced banana and drizzled syrup on top

Below is topped with mixed berry smoothie.

I have given instructions for how to make in a saucepan on the hob or to microwave. If I’m making a large quantity for the whole family I’ll use the hob but if it an induvial potion for myself I’ll microwave it.

The ingredient amounts id for one serving. So just multiple the amounts by how many people you plan to serve.

Above I’ve mixed in raisins and topped the porridge with oat yoghurt and a sprinkle of chia seeds. Let your imagination run wild and come up with your own combinations of flavours!

My children have multiple allergies from babies. There was a long list of things they couldn't eat with out being really poorly. I started by adapting known recipes, which lead to me experimenting and designing my own new ones! Now I share what I learned along the way in hopes of helping other families like us.
